La charla abord\u00f3 temas como modelado predictivo, causalidad, optimizaci\u00f3n y monitoreo de sistemas de machine learning en producci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En Nubank, las decisiones de cr\u00e9dito involucran mucho m\u00e1s que un an\u00e1lisis aislado. En l\u00edneas generales, estos procesos combinan diferentes se\u00f1ales, modelos y mecanismos de monitoreo para apoyar elecciones que buscan equilibrar la experiencia del cliente, la gesti\u00f3n de riesgo y la sostenibilidad de la operaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este tipo de desaf\u00edo va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de predecir comportamiento. Tambi\u00e9n exige entender qu\u00e9 decisiones tienden a generar valor de forma consistente para los clientes y para el negocio, siempre con responsabilidad y visi\u00f3n de largo plazo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>El desaf\u00edo detr\u00e1s de un aumento de l\u00edmite<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conceder m\u00e1s l\u00edmite es una decisi\u00f3n que involucra m\u00faltiples factores. De un lado, est\u00e1 la necesidad de ofrecer una experiencia que tenga sentido para el cliente y acompa\u00f1e su recorrido financiero. Del otro, est\u00e1 la importancia de mantener una operaci\u00f3n saludable, con atenci\u00f3n al riesgo, la eficiencia y el contexto regulatorio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En la pr\u00e1ctica, esto significa construir sistemas capaces de analizar diferentes dimensiones de una misma decisi\u00f3n y apoyar elecciones m\u00e1s personalizadas a escala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>El papel de los modelos predictivos<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Una parte importante de este proceso est\u00e1 en el uso de modelos predictivos, que ayudan a estimar tendencias de comportamiento a partir de se\u00f1ales observadas a lo largo del tiempo. Estos modelos se alimentan de datos tratados y organizados para representar patrones relevantes, en un trabajo que combina conocimiento t\u00e9cnico y entendimiento de negocio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En esta etapa, la calidad de las variables utilizadas marca una gran diferencia. M\u00e1s que reunir un gran volumen de datos, el desaf\u00edo es construir representaciones \u00fatiles, estables e interpretables para apoyar decisiones consistentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tambi\u00e9n por eso, no siempre la soluci\u00f3n m\u00e1s compleja es la mejor. Dependiendo del problema, enfoques m\u00e1s simples pueden ofrecer un mejor equilibrio entre performance, interpretabilidad, costo computacional y escalabilidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>M\u00e1s que predecir: priorizar bien<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En los sistemas de decisi\u00f3n, predecir es solo parte del trabajo. En muchos casos, tambi\u00e9n es importante priorizar correctamente qu\u00e9 situaciones merecen m\u00e1s atenci\u00f3n y qu\u00e9 decisiones tienden a generar mejores resultados relativos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esto exige evaluar no solo la precisi\u00f3n de las predicciones, sino tambi\u00e9n la capacidad del sistema de apoyar el ordenamiento, la priorizaci\u00f3n y la consistencia entre diferentes perfiles y contextos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cuando la correlaci\u00f3n no es suficiente<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Otro punto central es distinguir correlaci\u00f3n de causalidad. En problemas reales, observar un cambio de comportamiento despu\u00e9s de una decisi\u00f3n no significa, por s\u00ed solo, que una cosa haya causado la otra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Por eso, las t\u00e9cnicas de an\u00e1lisis causal ayudan a complementar el modelado predictivo. En lugar de mirar solo lo que tiende a ocurrir, ayudan a investigar en qu\u00e9 contextos una determinada acci\u00f3n realmente marca la diferencia. Este tipo de enfoque contribuye a decisiones m\u00e1s eficientes, m\u00e1s responsables y m\u00e1s alineadas con la experiencia del cliente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Los modelos en producci\u00f3n exigen acompa\u00f1amiento continuo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Poner un modelo en producci\u00f3n es solo el comienzo. Con el tiempo, los datos cambian, los comportamientos evolucionan y el entorno econ\u00f3mico se transforma. Para seguir generando valor, los sistemas de machine learning necesitan ser acompa\u00f1ados continuamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esto incluye observar indicadores de desempe\u00f1o, estabilidad y calidad operativa, adem\u00e1s de revisar los modelos peri\u00f3dicamente para garantizar que sigan siendo adecuados al contexto en el que operan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Python en el centro de este ecosistema<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lo largo de todo este recorrido, Python ocupa un papel central. El lenguaje es ampliamente utilizado en flujos de an\u00e1lisis, experimentaci\u00f3n, desarrollo de modelos e integraci\u00f3n con entornos de producci\u00f3n, con el apoyo de herramientas ampliamente usadas por la industria, como PySpark, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Airflow, Docker, Databricks y Grafana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">M\u00e1s que una herramienta, Python se convirti\u00f3 en una parte importante de la forma en que los equipos t\u00e9cnicos construyen, prueban y evolucionan sistemas de decisi\u00f3n a gran escala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Construyendo decisiones m\u00e1s responsables a escala<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La combinaci\u00f3n entre machine learning, causalidad, optimizaci\u00f3n y monitoreo muestra c\u00f3mo la ciencia de datos puede contribuir a sistemas de decisi\u00f3n m\u00e1s robustos y sostenibles.
